VICTORY (Happy Easter 2018)

The ultimate power source in all life is the power of God. Apart from God’s power, there is no greater force in the world than death. Because of the impact of sin on humanity, we all are spiritually dead (separated from God) until God makes us alive with Christ (Eph. 2:1-5). God has won the victory over sin and death through Jesus, who paid penalty by dying in our place and who broke sin’s ultimate power over us.

²⁴“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”(1 Peter 2:24)
