MAI SOONG PI MAI TAI

To My Dear Tai Friends,

Naturally, as there is a substitution, now is the mean time of ushering out the old year and welcoming the new year of 2105 which will be due on December 7, 2010. At this present autumn season in the land where Tai people reside and in Shan state. I can imagine that there will be several annual commemorations with joyful sound of Tai’s long drum, beautiful Tai dance and songs through all over the region under its beautiful clear sky; and how they may bring you happiness and encourage you to be proud of our Tai dignity. Though, I could not join you, yet from a far distance I am sending my warm greeting with these heartfelt prayers: 

May every people of Shan state, and every Tai or Dai of all ages, have a good opportunity and good health; and live life in peace and prosperity. 

May there be better businesses and stronger relationships among Tai people; and their fruitful fields produce multiple crops for their abundant harvest; and their life stocks breeding such as horses, oxen and cows in stable are increasingly multiplied. 

May Tai youths are more talented in sports and expert on education so that they are gaining wisdom and growing stronger in readiness to carry on our patriotic duty and enhance leaderships for Tai people on and on, till generation after generation. 

May the daily life of Tai be filled with love, joy, justice, safety, freedom and liberty; and every Tai has a new life with great new hope on each new day in this New Year to come.
