BAPTISM
John's baptism-where did it come from? Was it from heave, or from men? (Matthew 21:25, NIV)
John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus. (Acts 19:4, NIV)
And so John came, baptizing in the desert region and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. (Mark 1:4, NIV)
Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to be baptized by John. (Matthew 3:13, NIV)
Jesus said to them, "You will drink the cup I drink and be baptized with the baptism I am baptized with. (Mark 10:39, NIV)
one Lord, one faith, one baptism; (Ephesians 4:5, NIV)
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that , just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. (Romans 6:4, NIV)
and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also-not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge [Or response] of a good conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ. (1Peter3:21, NIV)
